Information Technology Track update

February 2012

Welcome to 2012!

The last two months have been busy ones for the IT track as we concluded Phase 1 of the project, finalized our first set of tools, and started in-depth planning of Phase2 that will kick off in March 2012. Please click here to access the Phase 1 deliverables including the initial requirements and the HDD prototyper tool. These tools were developed by JLN members and are for country use. The track has been active disseminating them at the recent Prince Mahidol Awards Conference(PMAC), as well as through discussions with countries and multi-lateral organizations. Please review these when you have a chance as we look forward to getting more feedback from you on areas in which we can improve and add to them. Looking ahead, our attention is turning to developing functional requirements for premium collection and developing the Health Data Dictionary prototyper further focused on e-claims. Based on planning sessions held with country work group members during PMAC, the track is tentatively planning to host the first event in the Philippines in April and the second meeting in Kenya in June. These meetings will be regionally focused to better leverage the use of participant travel and budget. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks on logistics or contact Kate Wilson ( for more information.
