JLN sponsored The Pan African Health Congress on Universal Coverage, sponsored by the Center for Health & Social Services (CHeSS), will take place in Accra,Ghana from November 15-17, 2011. Ministries of Health from 51 African countries have been invited to discuss how to initiate and sustain long term interest for establishing health insurance mechanisms.
The Congress will include site visits to district schemes, health processing centers, and NHIA headquarters, followed by two days of sessions focused on national health insurance from the practitioner’s perspective, quality of care, registration and coverage of the poor, and perspectives on the way forward.
